round dances
Dancers form rings
Round dances are social dances performed by couples moving in a circular pattern around the dance floor, following a set sequence of steps.
The term covers waltzes, two-steps, and similar partner dances where everyone moves counterclockwise around the room.
Round dances contrast with square dances, where groups form stationary formations.
They learned the round dances at their local dance club.
