rogues' galleries
Police suspect photographs
A rogues' gallery was originally a police collection of photographs of known criminals, used to identify suspects and repeat offenders.
The term now applies more broadly to any assembled group of disreputable, untrustworthy, or villainous people: The documentary featured a rogues' gallery of corrupt politicians and their enablers.
It can also describe a display of such characters, whether in media, history, or someone's personal experience with difficult people.
