A roasting stick is a long stick or skewer used to hold food over an open fire or campfire.
The length keeps hands safely away from the flames while cooking.
Most often used for marshmallows: We sharpened roasting sticks and toasted marshmallows until they turned golden.
Also called a roasting fork when made of metal with prongs.
