ring back

Phone someone again

Ring back means to return a phone call, used chiefly in British English: I'll ring back in an hour, Can you ask her to ring me back?

Americans typically say "call back" instead.

As a noun, a ringback is the tone a caller hears while waiting for the recipient to answer.
