right action
Morally correct behavior
Right action is conduct aligned with moral or ethical principles—doing what is good or correct in a given situation.
In Buddhist teaching, right action is one element of the Eightfold Path, emphasizing nonviolence, honesty, and restraint.
More broadly, the phrase appears in ethical discussion about what constitutes proper behavior: Knowing the right action doesn't guarantee doing it.
