ribbon dancer
Silk-streaming gymnast act
A ribbon dancer performs with a long, flowing ribbon attached to a stick, creating sweeping arcs, spirals, and waves through coordinated body movement.
The art form appears in Chinese traditional dance, rhythmic gymnastics, and various folk traditions.
The ribbon becomes an extension of the dancer's motion: The ribbon dancer twirled silk through the air in figure eights.
