Helicopter evacuation pod
A rescue basket is a rigid, elongated stretcher used to transport injured or incapacitated people, typically in emergency evacuations.
The basket shape cradles the person securely, allowing hoisting by helicopter or lowering down cliffs: The Coast Guard winched up the rescue basket with the swimmer inside.
