remote lock

Remote lock is a feature that lets you secure a device or vehicle from a distance, typically through an app or wireless signal.

Car owners use remote lock on their key fobs; phone users can remotely lock a lost device to protect their data.

I used remote lock to secure my phone after leaving it at the restaurant.
