remix artist
Song version creator
A remix artist is a musician or producer who creates new versions of existing songs by rearranging, adding to, or transforming the original elements.
The work ranges from subtle modifications to complete reimaginings that retain only fragments of the source material: The remix artist turned the ballad into a club banger.
Some remix artists build entire careers around transforming others' work rather than creating original compositions.
