redialed

Punched numbers twice

Redialed is the past tense of redial—to dial a phone number again, typically after a failed connection or busy signal.

Before mobile phones stored recent calls, redialing meant manually entering the same number: I redialed three times before anyone picked up.

Most phones now have a redial button that automates this.
