redialling
Pressing redial button
Redialling is the act of dialing a phone number again, typically after a failed connection or busy signal.
The spelling with double L is British; Americans write redialing.
Many phones have a redial button that automatically calls the last number dialed: I kept redialling but couldn't get through.
