On-call military pool
Ready reserve refers to military personnel who are not on active duty but remain available for rapid mobilization.
In the U.S., the Ready Reserve includes the Selected Reserve (drilling units and individual mobilization augmentees) and the Individual Ready Reserve (those with remaining service obligations).
Members can be called to active duty during national emergencies: She spent four years in the ready reserve after leaving active duty.
