reading cues
Text interpretation hints
Reading cues is the ability to notice and interpret signals—verbal, physical, or situational—that indicate what someone is thinking or feeling.
Good communicators read cues to know when someone is bored, interested, or uncomfortable: She's terrible at reading cues and always overstays her welcome.
The skill matters in social situations, negotiations, and relationships where unspoken communication carries meaning.
