rabbit hunter
Pursues cottontail prey
A rabbit hunter is someone who hunts rabbits, whether for sport, food, or pest control.
The term applies to both casual hunters and those who pursue it seriously with dogs, ferrets, or firearms.
My grandfather was an avid rabbit hunter who kept beagles for the chase.
