quarter window
Small car pane
A quarter window is a small, often fixed or hinged window found at the corner of a vehicle's passenger compartment, typically near the rear pillar or behind the rear door.
These windows are usually triangular or roughly rectangular and provide additional light and visibility without being large enough to serve as primary windows.
In older vehicles, front quarter windows—sometimes called vent windows—could pivot open for ventilation.
The quarter window was cracked during the break-in.
