puma cub
Young cougar offspring
A puma cub is a young puma—the large wild cat native to the Americas, also called a cougar or mountain lion.
Cubs are born spotted and blind, dependent on their mother for up to two years before becoming solitary hunters: The trail camera captured a puma cub following its mother through the canyon.
