premiere party
Film launch event
A premiere party is a social gathering held to celebrate the first public showing of a film, television series, play, or other creative work.
These events typically occur on the same night as the premiere screening and bring together cast, crew, and invited guests: The after-party was more exclusive than the red carpet itself.
The term also applies to viewing parties where groups watch a premiere together: We're hosting a premiere party for the season finale.
