predigest
Chemically prepare nourishment
Predigest means to break down food or information before it reaches its final consumer.
Literally, some animals predigest food for their young by partially digesting it first.
More commonly, the term describes simplifying complex material so others can absorb it more easily: The textbook predigests economic theory for undergraduate students.
Predigested information has been processed and made easier to understand, sometimes with the implication that nuance has been lost.
