cast-in-place
Molded on location
Cast-in-place describes concrete poured and cured at its final location rather than precast elsewhere and transported.
The technique allows custom shapes and continuous structures: cast-in-place foundations, cast-in-place walls.
Construction workers build forms on site, pour the concrete, and remove the forms once it hardens.
Also hyphenated as cast-in-place or written as three words.
