pot stills
Batch distillation vessels
Pot stills are traditional distillation apparatus—large copper vessels heated from below, with a curved neck leading to a condensing coil.
Unlike continuous column stills, pot stills work in batches, producing spirits with more flavor and character.
They're essential equipment for Scotch whisky, cognac, and craft distilleries: The distillery runs its pot stills twice for single malt.
