pot committed
Can't fold now
In poker, pot committed describes a situation where you've already bet so much of your stack that folding becomes mathematically foolish—you're essentially locked into seeing the hand through regardless of what cards come.
The term extends beyond gambling to any situation where you've invested too much to quit: We've spent six months on this project; we're pot committed now.
