plot outline
Narrative structure summary
A plot outline is a summary of a story's main events in sequence, stripped of detail.
Writers use plot outlines to plan narratives before drafting, or to pitch stories to editors and producers.
Unlike a full synopsis, a plot outline typically hits only the major turning points: The plot outline fit on a single page.
