photofit
Police face reconstruction
A photofit is a picture of a suspect's face assembled from interchangeable features—eyes, nose, mouth, chin—based on witness descriptions.
British police developed the system as an alternative to sketch artists.
The term now applies broadly to any composite image built from standardized facial components: Police released a photofit of the attacker.
