penguin parade
Tuxedoed birds marching
A penguin parade is the nightly procession of little penguins returning from the sea to their burrows at dusk, most famously observed at Phillip Island, Australia.
The term also applies to similar viewing events elsewhere.
By extension, any orderly procession of waddling figures—human or animal—may be called a penguin parade: The kindergartners in their black-and-white uniforms formed a penguin parade to the cafeteria.
