parallel stance
Feet facing forward
A parallel stance is a body position in which the feet are placed side by side, pointing the same direction, typically shoulder-width apart.
The term appears most often in skiing, where it describes keeping skis aligned rather than angled in a wedge or snowplow.
Martial arts, dance, and weight training also use the term: Keep a parallel stance with knees slightly bent.
