panic rooms
Fortified hiding spaces
A panic room is a fortified space within a building—typically a home—designed as a refuge during break-ins, home invasions, or other emergencies.
Also called a safe room.
These reinforced areas usually contain communication equipment, supplies, and security features like steel doors and independent ventilation.
The family retreated to their panic room when they heard intruders downstairs.
