package room

A package room is a designated space in an apartment building, office complex, or dormitory where deliveries are received and stored until residents or employees retrieve them.

The term became common as online shopping increased the volume of parcels arriving at shared buildings: Check the package room—your order came this morning.

Some package rooms use electronic lockers or require signature pickup.
