overstudied

Researched too much

Overstudied describes something that has received excessive scholarly attention, leaving little new to say: Shakespeare's sonnets are so overstudied that fresh insights are rare.

It can also describe a person who has prepared too much, becoming stiff or anxious rather than confident: She seemed overstudied in the interview, reciting rehearsed answers.
