overpoured
Filled past brim
Overpoured describes liquid dispensed in excess of the intended amount.
A bartender who overpours gives more alcohol than the recipe calls for—sometimes deliberately, sometimes carelessly: The drinks were strong because she consistently overpoured.
The term appears most often in bar and restaurant contexts where portion control affects profits.
