overhydrate
Consume too much water
To overhydrate is to consume more water or fluids than the body needs.
While staying hydrated is generally encouraged, overhydration can dilute sodium levels in the blood, causing a dangerous condition called hyponatremia.
Athletes and people following extreme hydration advice are most at risk: She overhydrated during the marathon and had to be treated at the medical tent.
