opera festival
Staged singing event
An opera festival is an event, typically held annually, at which multiple operas are performed over a concentrated period—usually days or weeks.
Some are destination events in scenic locations: the Glyndebourne Festival, the Santa Fe Opera Festival.
Others anchor a city's cultural calendar.
Festivals may focus on a particular composer, era, or theme.
