open meeting
Accessible group session
An open meeting is one that anyone may attend, as opposed to a closed session restricted to members or authorized participants.
Government bodies often hold open meetings to ensure public transparency: The city council's open meetings are broadcast online.
Open meeting laws require certain governmental proceedings to be accessible to citizens.
