oktoberfest beer

Oktoberfest beers are amber to copper-colored, malty, and medium-bodied with moderate alcohol content—designed for drinking in quantity over long celebrations.

Also called Märzen, from the German word for March, when these beers were traditionally brewed and stored in cool cellars for summer and fall consumption.
