nude sculpture
Bare figure art
Nude sculpture is a work of three-dimensional art depicting the unclothed human body.
The tradition stretches from ancient Greek marble figures through Renaissance masters to contemporary artists.
The term often appears in discussions distinguishing artistic nudity from pornography: The museum's collection includes several classical nude sculptures.
Also called simply nudes when context is clear.
