Nonsurvival describes a state or outcome in which someone or something does not survive—does not continue to live, exist, or remain viable.

The term appears most often in medical, biological, and research contexts, where outcomes are categorized as survival or nonsurvival: The study compared survival and nonsurvival groups to identify risk factors.

It can also apply to abstract things like institutions, traditions, or species that fail to persist over time.
