unviable
Doomed to fail
Unviable means not capable of working, surviving, or succeeding.
An unviable business plan won't turn a profit.
An unviable fetus cannot survive outside the womb.
The word often appears in contexts where something has been assessed and found fundamentally flawed: The proposal was deemed unviable due to budget constraints.
Viable is far more common than its negative.
