non-performing
Yielding no returns
Non-performing describes something that fails to meet expected standards or obligations.
The term appears most often in finance: a non-performing loan is one where the borrower has stopped making payments.
Non-performing assets generate no income for their holder.
Outside finance, non-performing can describe anything not functioning as intended: non-performing equipment, non-performing employees.
