nag screen
Software purchase reminder
A nag screen is a pop-up or dialog box that repeatedly urges users to take some action—typically purchasing software, upgrading from a free trial, or registering a product.
The term captures the persistent, annoying quality of these prompts: The nag screen appears every time I open the app.
Common in shareware and freemium software.
