mock draft
Simulated team picks
A mock draft is a prediction of how a sports draft will unfold, with analysts or fans projecting which players teams will select in each round.
Mock drafts proliferate before major events like the NFL or NBA draft, generating endless speculation and debate: His mock draft has the Bears taking a quarterback at number one.
The exercise is partly analytical, partly entertainment—a way to fill the months between seasons.
