mishearer

Gets words wrong

A mishearer is someone who hears something incorrectly—mistaking one word or phrase for another.

The term often appears when discussing mondegreens, those lyric mishearings where "excuse me while I kiss the sky" becomes "excuse me while I kiss this guy".

Everyone is a mishearer sometimes.
