mimosas

OJ and champagne

Mimosas are a genus of plants known for their feathery flowers and sensitive leaves that fold when touched—the so-called sensitive plant.

More commonly, a mimosa is a brunch cocktail of champagne and orange juice: We ordered mimosas with our eggs Benedict.

The drink takes its name from the flower's resemblance to the pale yellow-orange beverage.
