middle seat
Armrest-sharing purgatory here
The middle seat is the center position in a row of three, especially on an airplane.
It's widely considered the least desirable spot—no window view, no aisle access, just neighbors on both sides: I got stuck in the middle seat for a six-hour flight.
The middle seat passenger traditionally claims both armrests as compensation.
