mentos and coke
Fizzy eruption trick
Mentos and Coke refers to the explosive reaction when Mentos candies are dropped into carbonated cola, causing a geyser of foam to erupt from the bottle.
The porous surface of the candies triggers rapid release of dissolved carbon dioxide.
The phenomenon became an internet sensation in the mid-2000s, spawning countless videos of backyard experiments: We did the Mentos and Coke thing at the barbecue and got soda everywhere.
