mattifier
Removes facial sheen
A mattifier is a cosmetic product that reduces shine on the skin, typically used on the face to absorb oil and create a matte finish.
Mattifiers come as primers, powders, sprays, or lotions: I use a mattifier before foundation to keep my T-zone from getting greasy.
The term appears mainly in beauty marketing and skincare discussions.
