mariachi suit
Mexican musician's attire
A mariachi suit is the traditional costume worn by mariachi musicians, typically consisting of a fitted jacket and pants with elaborate embroidery, silver or gold buttons running down the legs and sleeves, and often a wide-brimmed sombrero.
The ornate style, called traje de charro, originated with Mexican horsemen and became standard performance attire for mariachi bands: He rented a mariachi suit for the Día de los Muertos celebration.
