mail route
Postal delivery course
A mail route is the designated path a postal carrier follows to deliver mail, covering a specific set of addresses in sequence.
Rural routes may span miles of countryside while urban routes concentrate on city blocks.
The term also applies to historical postal roads and the paths of mail-carrying vehicles: He's been on the same mail route for fifteen years.
