magnetic induction
Flux through coils
Magnetic induction is the process by which a magnetic field creates magnetism in a nearby material or generates an electric current in a conductor.
A piece of iron becomes temporarily magnetized when placed near a magnet through magnetic induction.
The term also refers to magnetic flux density—the strength of a magnetic field at a given point, measured in teslas.
