macrostructure
Large-scale structural pattern
Macrostructure is the large-scale organization or overall framework of something, as opposed to its fine details.
In materials science, it refers to features visible to the naked eye: The macrostructure of the steel showed no cracks.
In linguistics and rhetoric, it describes how a text or argument is organized at the highest level—the arrangement of chapters, sections, or major themes rather than individual sentences or word choices.
