low-grade fever
Slight elevated temperature
A low-grade fever is a body temperature that's elevated above normal but not alarmingly so—typically between about 99°F and 100.4°F (37.2°C to 38°C).
It often indicates the body is fighting off a minor infection or inflammation.
Unlike high fevers that demand immediate attention, a low-grade fever may persist for days and is sometimes ignored or treated with over-the-counter remedies.
She's had a low-grade fever all week but otherwise feels fine.
