league champion
Top team crowned
A league champion is the team or individual that wins a sports league's competition, typically determined by the best regular-season record or playoff victory.
The title usually spans a single season: The Lakers were league champions three years running.
In fantasy sports, the league champion wins that group's season-long competition.
